Wispr - Voice to Text App You will Love❤️
Wispr is one of the best Voice to Text tools that exists and you can use it wherever in any application you want. Limited only to Mac Users.

Today I want to speak about a new tool called Wispr. This has been an amazing tool. Like most of us can speak faster but write slow, Wispr does a fantastic job at translating whatever you speak right in front of you into text and you can do it wherever you want, in any tool that you are using, on whatever platform you are using (in a browser or on desktop) in a word document or in a Google document. This makes you know to write things faster and put across your thoughts faster.
Instead of telling more about it, I just wanted to show you a demo of how it would look like. And what's a better demo than just speaking and it converting it into a text?
I have completed my speaking, let's see how the text comes across.
You've likely experimented with numerous voice-to-text tools, including Siri and Google Assistant. However, Wispr is quite different – its performance is top notch as per my experience.
One thing I like about Wispr is its accuracy in understanding and translating into English. It has come across way better than other tools that are already in the market for me.
Flow Intelligence
Access Flow's intelligence in every application. Just select text and ask Flow to step in. Check out the video below to understand what it can actually.
Multilingual Support: 100+ Languages with wonderful Speech Recognition
It can identify the language you are speaking and convert it real time. It’s speech recognition is pretty good. It can understand more than 100+ languages - Russian, German, French, Hindi, Telugu and a lot more.
Hindi Translation Example
Below is this text that I spoke in Hindi and it translated as is.
Wispr बहुत खतरनाक टूल है।
ये हम लोग जो भी बात करते हैं, उसको समझ के, जो भी भाषा में convert करना चाहते हैं, convert कर देती है।
Telugu Transcription Example
విస్పర్ చాలా మంచి టూల్. ఇది మనకు చాలా హెల్ప్ చేస్తుంది.
మనము ఏమి మాట్లాడినా, అది అ భాషలోనే కన్వర్ట్ చేస్తుంది.
Integrations
It has integrations with Claude, Perplexity, Chatgpt and you can ask it to do a task from anywhere in the computer.
One other interesting feature is it’s Whispering Mode, where even if you whisper it can try to understand what you want to say and convert it with accuracy. One more interesting point to be noticed is that they claim to have their own private cloud ensuring that our data is secured. BTW they also give you an option to share your voice information with them or not for improving the model. Privacy First Approach
Enhancing Productivity with Wispr
I've been leveraging Wispr to streamline my tech product development process. When I'm using my AI enabled IDE Cursor, I just dictate out what the task that cursor has to perform through Wispr. By speaking my ideas aloud, I avoid manual typing and generate prompts in a fraction of the time.
I find it particularly useful when working on longer documents. The process requires patience, as you're essentially brainstorming and writing simultaneously, allowing you to capture your ideas efficiently.
One of the most exciting applications I've found is using it in conjunction with computer tasks, leveraging the latest Anthropic’s Computer Use release. By dictating tasks instead of typing them out, the computer can take care of the work for you. This approach has numerous practical use cases that can greatly benefit users.
One feature I need with Wispr is real-time text streaming. This would allow me to see the text being written as I speak, which is especially helpful when speaking for extended periods in a flow state. It would give me a better sense of the tool's accuracy and help me stay focused.
Another limiting feature of Wispr is that it is currently available only on Mac, so unfortunately a lot of Windows users may not be able to try it out. I can’t use it on my office laptop either.
Pricing
Wispr offers a very generous pricing plan, with a free version that allows you to try up to 2000 words per week. This word limit is more than sufficient for occasional users who don't require heavy voice-to-text functionality, making it a great option for those who want to try out the feature without committing to a paid plan.
Btw, if you want to know more about computer use, you can check out my previous article which I have written about Claude's recent release of computer use.
And for infographics I have used Napkin.ai. If you want to know more, please read out my first blog which I have written about Napkin.ai.
