Visual Storytelling Made Simple: Napkin.ai's Infographic Solution
Discover the tool that's turning ordinary content into extraordinary visual experiences
Every time I work on a document, write my bullet points, and think about presenting it in a way that's WOW and delights the user, I waste a lot of time looking for the right templates to show the infographic in the right way. I want to present my analysis in a way that can catch the audience's attention. I want it to be more graphical, easily comprehensible.
As part of my everlasting wandering to identify how I can do that better, I landed upon this amazing tool: Napkin.ai
As you can see, the headline says it all. I was quite amazed by the way it works, the speed at which it works, and how amazing it is at presenting content better.
Sharing a few glimpses of the designs I made and presented.
You should check out their amazing video that tells a lot about its potential.
The tool is quite amazing the way it does this and the speed at which does. However, as with any other tool, it has its share of drawbacks.

Drawbacks:
Once you generate the design, it doesn't get auto-aligned with the page structure; it's painful to organize it.
You can't wrap your text around the image.
It's good with text-related designs, but we need to see how it will evolve when we want to present numbers and tables.
Limited font options and color options. You might find it difficult to align with brand theme and brand style, which might be frustrating for people who are too focused on getting the right colors aligned with the brand.
Ruled notebook style. In the first instance, it looks wow, but then after some time, it feels awkward.
One thing for sure, I am quite optimistic that the folks at Napkin.ai will build something awesome, and I'm gonna watch them closely.
PS: The product is now available free for all users, and if you want to try it out, go ahead and do it before it becomes paid.
