ChatGPT's Canvas, Projects, and Voice Mode Updates
ChatGPT's latest features like Canvas (Best AI Writing Experience), Projects, and Advanced Voice Mode with Video are transforming content creation, organization, and real-time collaboration.
ChatGPT is keeping everyone on their feet with its recent releases and launches. Over the last 12 days, as part of their launch series, they are now on day 7, and have unveiled some amazing features. Let’s check out the features that got me really excited.
ChatGPT Canvas
ChatGPT Canvas is one of the standout features and honestly, one of the best tools for writing I’ve come across all other models like Claude, Gemini. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while, and nothing matches the experience it offers. You can inline chat, modify content in real-time, and collaborate on writing and coding effortlessly.
On your screen, you’ll see an option called View Tools. When you click it, you get options like:

Canvas Mode

Canvas Mode lets you:
Start writing articles or working on code directly.
Adjust article lengths to make them longer, shorter, or the longest version possible.
Refine content by adding emojis, polishing language, or modifying reading levels (e.g., kindergarten, high school, graduate).
Highlight specific paragraphs, ask for improvements, and make them crisper or better refined.
Once your content is ready, you can save it, edit it further, or simply copy and use it. Canvas is currently available for Plus, Pro and Team users during its beta phase. It’s an amazing product, and I think everyone should give it a try.

ChatGPT Projects
This is a feature I’ve been waiting for! ChatGPT Projects makes organizing work much simpler. It’s similar to what Claude by Anthropic introduced a few months ago, and finally, ChatGPT has something comparable. Here’s what it does:
Keep Things Organized: Group content, chats, and documents within specific projects so everything stays contextual.
Customize Your Workspace: Name your projects, add colors, and include instructions to make it your own.
Save Time: With all relevant resources and chats in one place, it’s perfect for content creation, analysis, and more.
This feature is available for Plus, Pro, and Team users, and it’s expected to roll out to free users soon. It’s a must-try for anyone juggling multiple tasks.
Advanced Voice Mode with Video
Then there’s the Advanced Voice Mode—now with video! This feature is a game-changer:
Share Your Screen and Videos: Show ChatGPT what’s happening, ask questions, and get guidance in real time.
Identify Objects and Visuals: GPT can recognize objects, explain screen activities, and summarize content from shared videos.
Remember Context and Summarize Conversations: If people are speaking, it can store details of the conversation and provide summaries when needed.
It’s similar to what Google launched with Gemini 2.0 just a day earlier, and it’s fantastic to see ChatGPT staying competitive.
Why These Features Matter
With these updates, ChatGPT has addressed key areas that make it more productive and user-friendly. Whether it’s creating and refining content with Canvas, organizing work through Projects, or interacting in real-time with Advanced Voice Mode, these features are designed to save time and boost efficiency. These are the features many of us have been waiting for, and they’re finally here! If you haven’t tried them yet, now’s the time.
