I resonate with what you wrote about needing a systematic aproach. How do you see the role of traditional coding skills fitting into this application-focused AI journey long-term? This roadmap is incredibly insightful.
As AI tools and LLMs become increasingly capable at generating code, the role of the developer is rapidly evolving from pure coding to designing systems, orchestrating AI agents, and architecting solutions. Traditional coding skills will absolutely remain essential—they form the mental model and technical judgment you need to guide these intelligent agents and ensure everything fits into the bigger business or product vision.
Even though LLMs can automate many coding tasks, it’s the human who provides oversight, strategic direction, and that crucial intuition for what's possible or needed—something no LLM can fully replicate.
In the future, being able to collaborate with and manage AI-driven developer agents will be just as important as writing great code yourself. Coding methods will shift, but our fundamental knowledge and creativity remain at the core of innovation.
